Instructions: Settings and ASR Setup
1. Power On and Enter Settings Mode
- With the kickstand down, power on the bike.
- Hold the Ready and ASR buttons (front-facing buttons on the right and left grips) for 3 seconds until the display shows a letter B and a number.
2. Navigating Settings
- Tap ASR to move to the next setting.
- Tap Ready to change the setting value.

How to Set Up ASR (Anti-Slip Traction Control)
1. Activating ASR
- To enable ASR for steep slopes or slippery conditions, press the ASR button three times in a row.
- The ASR light will turn green to indicate it’s active.
2. ASR Strength Levels
- The right-side instrument shows ASR strength:
- One bar: Lightest assistance (still allows short wheelies)
- Three bars: Maximum traction control
3. Adjusting ASR While Riding
- To toggle ASR on/off while riding: press the ASR button three times.
- To adjust strength while riding: hold ASR and then double-click the reverse (r & s) button.

1000 Mile Review of my Road Legal Ultra Bee gotten from here.
My 2024 Ultra Bee R “Black Edition” crossed its 1000th mile today, so I figured it would be a good time to give a little honest feedback on how life with the Ultra Bee has been so far. I ride this bike almost every day, primarily on streets to commute to work or ride around town or to neighboring cities. The bike has a stock powertrain with 17″ supermotos and a 40t sprocket to get a slightly higher top speed of 63mph on gps. I’ve been waiting for Torp to have more TC-1000s in stock for over a month now since I do ride this bike on highways and would love to add some field weakening in for a higher top speed, but the current top speed is fine for commuting everywhere but a freeway. I also bought a set of 21/18 dirt wheels with Shinko 525 cheater / 524 tires from them later on, and the bike performs great off road. Looking forward to taking it to the mountains in a few weeks and ripping some forest trails and comparing it to my LBX. Stock suspension is good, not bouncy at all and feels great once you get it dialed in and have the rebound dampening set properly. It handles bumps and hits much better than the LBX or Talaria suspension. The brakes are great, as everyone already knows. Tons of stopping power with a nice light lever pull. My pads still look basically brand new. I’ve never been a fan of the stock style dirt bike brake levers, so I swapped them out for some one finger levers from ebikegarage.shop basically right away, they feel great and have very nice knurling on the face. Figuring out how to get it registered and plated was a total pain, but the process itself isn’t very difficult or time consuming. If you bought your bike privately or from whichever place and for whatever other reason don’t have a motorcycle title for it, you’ll have to see if your state allows bonded titles if they do, just follow the steps they will guide you through and you’ll be able to get a plate for it without a problem. DirtLegal is another option too. I like longer rides, so the only downsides to me are the limited range at highway speeds (still better than any other stock bike though) and that the bike doesn’t like aftermarket chargers. I was hoping to use my 45A Chi charger for some fast recharges when I’m on the go but the battery’s BMS only allows charging from the stock charger. Other than those minor drawbacks, I couldn’t be happier with the Ultra Bee! Patiently awaiting Torp’s next batch of controllers so I can take it to the next level, definitely coming back and recommending.

My Experience Buying Two Surron Bikes from Gonped (Light Bee & Ultra Bee) on Alibaba
Hey guys, wanted to share my ongoing nightmare/experience with ordering two Surrons through Gonped on Alibaba.
June 3rd, 2025
I pulled the trigger and bought two bikes from Cassie at Gonped:
1× Light Bee
1× Ultra Bee
This was my first big Alibaba purchase, so I was excited but also nervous. Cassie told me shipping would take 3–4 weeks, then about 45 days in transit to France.
Ultra Bee: $4,850 (shipping + taxes included)
Both bikes together: $7,950 all in.
She convinced me to pay right away so both bikes could ship together. Sounded good at the time… I PAID!
June 23rd–24th, 2025
And here’s where the problems started. Cassie tells me the Light Bee is suddenly out of stock, meaning they can’t ship both together as promised.
If I want them together: wait an extra 2 weeks.
Otherwise: they’ll go on separate boats.
So now, what was supposed to be a smooth deal already feels shady.

Cassie finally sends me shipping info for the Ultra Bee. At least something is moving.
July 8th, 2025
New excuse: apparently the Greek ports were “closed” and the boat had to be rerouted. According to her, the bike is going back to China before being re-shipped.
I’ve dealt with Chinese sellers before—this smelled like pure BS. At this point, I asked for a refund.
But guess what? She refused to refund me directly. Instead, she insisted I open the refund request on Alibaba, knowing I’d lose 5% of the total ($400+) in fees. Basically trapped.
July 20th–21st, 2025
Cassie claims both bikes are now leaving together. New ETA: first week of September. Already 7 weeks since ordering.
August 31st, 2025
Update from her: bikes will arrive September 11th in Felixstowe (UK).
September 11th, 2025
Surprise, surprise—delayed again. Now she’s saying early October. That’s another 4 weeks added.
September 15th–16th, 2025
This is when things really fell apart.
I tracked the boat using the number she gave me, and nothing matched her story.
Felixstowe wasn’t even on the itinerary.
When I confronted her, she suddenly admitted the bikes weren’t even shipped together.
Now she’s sending me two new tracking numbers, but the ETA dates don’t match the ships’ actual itineraries. Total nonsense.
Conclusion (so far)
I was over 3 months in, nearly $8,000 out, and still had no bikes. I felt completely stuck: I couldn’t refund without losing hundreds of dollars, and the seller kept giving excuses, fake tracking numbers, and pushing back the delivery date.
Then a neighbor I had explained my ordeal to took my phone, placed an order for both bikes, and—for the love of God—his arrived in just 3 weeks and 4 days.
I was completely confused. If only I’d known earlier, I could have avoided losing so much money and months of stress.
Terrible experience.
